The film is directed by Ashwini Chaudhary and had been previously titled as Shaadi Fast Forward and took over a controversy with the Indian distributors of the Belgian film Heart breakers (2001 film) had alleged that the story of Jodi Breakers has been plagiarized from Heart breakers. The makers of Jodi Breakers offered to let the Heart breakers team read the entire script, provided they agree to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA), which the Heart breakers team is unwilling to sign. It will release on 24 February 2012.
