After shooting about 25 percent of his film Barfi, with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the beautiful Himachali city, Anurag now plans to return there to encourage locals to watch their surroundings on the big screen. I’ve heard that he will be taking his cast back and will spend a few days interacting with the locals and creating some buzz about his next. All this for a good reason, because Bollywood, apparently, doesn’t have a great presence in that side of town. More Bengali films release there than Hindi ones, I’ve heard. After the disaster with Kites, let’s hope finding undiscovered locations works for him. After all, such is life dearies.

After Rockstar (2011) and before Barfee (2012), Ranbir Kapoor will feature in a four-minute short film that encapsulates the last moments of a Bollywood movie. In filmi fashion, the actor sprints over around 100 Nissan Micra cars, almost crashing through the windscreen of the fourth. This action sequence could land the film in the Limca Book of World Records.
“I got a call from the Limca team in December,” admits producer Khalil Bachooali of Offroad Films, recalling how hard it was to get 92 cars to align perfectly. “We’d allocated four hours for it, but after an hour-and-a-half, I was convinced it wouldn’t happen. When we got it with the last shot, everyone started clapping.”

Rockstar Ranbir Kapoor and Telugu star Ileana D'Cruz are believed to have delivered such an emotional performance in Anurag Basu's much-awaited Barfee that it left many crew members teary-eyed. If a source from the sets is to be believed, "certain emotional scenes between Ranbir and Ileana were so intense and beautifully performed that they left many of us and other members of the crew in tears".
"We would all end up not engaging in too much conversation with each other even after the scene would be completed as we would need some quiet alone time to get out of that emotional zone," added the production insider.
Ileana is a popular name in the southern industry with films like Pokiri, Jalsa and Kick. Barfee also features Priyanka Chopra. The film promises to be a powerhouse of strong performances with Ranbir playing a deaf and dumb character, Ileana's character of a translator that spans about 50 years and Priyanka playing the role of an autistic girl.
