Akash (Rhehan Malliek) and Ishkq (Preity Zinta), two complete strangers, after having met on a train from Rome to Paris, end up spending the evening together in the romantic city.However, owing to a ‘no baggage’ pact set by Ishkq, the two part ways the next morning without a proper goodbye. Ishkq, being the strong-headed independent girl, moves on, while Akash ends up falling for the girl he spent the evening with. They cross paths once again in Paris but will there be ‘Ishkq In Paris’?Preity Zinta who is also the producer of the film, was signed for the lead female role. It has been often regarded as her big comeback film, after a hiatus of 4 years. The male lead is to be played by Rhehan Malliek, who was previously known as Gaurav Chanana, who is a former television actor.

The film also stars French actress, Isabelle Adjani. It will be the first time that Isabelle Adjani will play in an Hindi movie. For the part, she has learnt Hindi.Director Shekhar Kapur will also be featured in the film, while actor Salman Khan will be making a cameo appearance as himself.The film was shot across Paris, France and also in India.It was announced that music director duo Sajid-Wajid will be composing the songs for Ishkq in Paris. The entire soundtrack release date was announced on 15 September via Zinta's Twitter Account. The release date was September 17, 2012. A few months ago, Preity Zinta had launched a nationwide hunt via Twitter searching for a small girl in the age group of 4 to 7 years to play the role of her younger self in her maiden home production Ishkq In Paris. However, when the actress couldn't find any worthy candidate, she decided to cast her 6 year old niece Maya for the said role. Maya is Preity's brother's daughter and stays with her family in Los Angeles. Despite having not faced the camera before, 6 year old Maya impressed everyone with her act in the film.
Ishkq In Paris directed by Prem Raj releases on November 2 this year. Preity Zinta sure has ambitious plans for her maiden home production Ishkq In Paris. To celebrate the Indo-French collaboration, Preity has planned to have a grand premiere of her film in Paris. The event is expected to be a gala affair with a lot of bigwigs in attendance.Incidentally, Ishkq In Paris also features award winning French actress Isabelle Adjani who will be the cynosure of all eyes at the grand premiere. While Isabelle would be inviting her friends from Paris, Preity would be calling her friends and colleagues from India to attend this special premiere. Certain top French political dignitaries including the President of France are also expected to attend the premiere. The premiere is likely to be held on Oct 4 or Oct 5 in Paris.
Following in the footsteps of her colleagues like Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Dia Mirza and Ameesha Patel is Preity Zinta who is now all set to turn producer.The actress, who in the recent past has been more often seen on the cricket field than in front of the silver screen, is now ready with her maiden production venture titled Ishkq In Paris. Preity excitedly tweeted about this news to her fans, "Ok Guys! Here it is..... The movie I am going to produce is called "Ishkq In Paris" & I am SUUUPEERR excited about it!!!! Ishkq In Paris will be directed by Prem Soni who earlier directed the Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Main Aurr Mrs.Khanna. Interestingly, Preity too was last seen on the big screen in a cameo in Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna.Salman Khan has always gone the extra mile for his close friends. This time the superstar has agreed to be a part of good friend Preity Zinta's maiden home production Ishkq In Paris. The buzz is that Salman would be seen in a song and a scene in the film.The film is extremely close to Preity's heart as she is also the co-writer of the film along with director Prem Raj (who earlier directed Salman- Kareena starrer Main Aurr Mrs Khanna).
