Delhi Safari team unveiled the promo at a press conference. Govinda and Boman Irani joked about the characters assigned to them. As Govinda is the voice behind the crazy monkey, he made sure he warned the media that nobody dares address him by that name. Some of the tracks have been sung by international music sensation, Vanessa Williams, who has smash hits such as Save the Best for Last and A Thousand Miles to her credit. She has also lent her voice to one of the main characters of the film, Begum-Mother Leopard. The movie has been showcased at leading film festivals.
Delhi Safari is an upcoming bilingual stereoscopic 3D animation film directed by Nikhil Advani. It has been produced by Krayon Pictures (a Pune based 3D animation studio). The film features the voices of Akshaye Khanna, Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Boman Irani, and Urmila Matondkar. The screenplay of the film is written by Girish Dhamija and Suresh Nair. The film traces the journey of five animals and birds from Mumbai to Delhi.The music of the film is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, while the lyrics are penned by Sameer. It is India's first stereoscopic 3D animation feature film.The film will be released in India on October 19th, 2012.
