One of his upcoming movies is 'Bombay Velvet', a love story set in Mumbai. Anurag says, "We are shooting it next year in April.

Casting is done with Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, K K Menon and hopefully Naseeruddin Shah" thus laying to rest the speculations that have been flowing regarding the female lead Actress Anushka Sharma is garnering popularity among filmmakers as she recently bagged Raju Hirani's 'Peekay' and is likely to feature in Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet'.

If the recent stories are anything to go by, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma will be seen together for the first time in Anurag Kashyap's film Bombay Velvet. The film set in 60's in Mumbai will be a period movie, which will was earlier supposed to go on floors with Aamir Khan in the lead.ZOOM    ZOOM
The movie is said to be an adaption of the book Mumbai Fables, a semi-fictional study of Bombay in its 60's written by historian and professor of History in Princeton University Gyan Prakash. We hear that Ranbir Kapoor has been asked to get in to the mood of the character and the film will commence from October.
