SHORTCUT ROMEO - EVENTS

Neil Nitin Mukesh is back from Kenya but with a lot of pain. Heavy duty action scenes for Shortcut Romeo took a toll on the actor. "Back in the city. Mumbai. Can't wait to hit the bed. The action scenes have taken a toll on me. In excruciating pain on the shoulder blade," Neil posted on his Twitter page late Wednesday night.

But in the morning, he felt better."The pain has gone down a bit. But I can feel the stiffness yet. Will have to take care before action starts again," he wrote.Neil was in Masai Mara and Nairobi for the shooting of Shortcut Romeo, a romantic thriller being directed and produced by Susi Ganeshan. It is a Hindi remake of Ganeshan's 2006 Tamil film Thiruttu Payale and also feature Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta.

The action sequences, designed by Selva, have been tough on Neil. He even shot in jungles, and the crew had to crawl at one point."I had a hundred thorns in my hand. Just wonder how the animals don't get pricked," he had written then.Neil was last seen in Players.

Ameesha Patel's maiden venture as a producer, directed by David Dhawan, has been pushed till July due to her busy schedule. The actress, who is currently working on 'Shortcut Romeo' with Neil Nitin Mukesh, 'Superhit Bhaiiyaji' with Sunny Deol and Abbas Mustan's 'Race 2', ironically, has no dates to lend for her own home production tentatively titled, 'Paradise Street'We hear that Ameesha will be seen in a brand new hot and sexy look in the film. The petite actress recently had a look test for the film. She strongly feels that her new image is something she loves and takes it as a challenge to portray this new image with elegance and class.

She has been sweating it out in the gym to get the hot bod and the results have already started showing. She has been getting a lot of compliments from almost all directors, actors and producers. Her face looks fresher than ever and she believes that 2012 and 2013 will be the best years of her life.A source reveals, 'Paradise Street' is set in the 1960s and is based in Paris. Ameesha plays a hooker for the first time. The story has been written by Yunus Sajawal and it's a two-hero film."

David Dhawan who is currently busy with the last schedule of 'Chashm-e-Buddoor' will start working on detailed scripting and signing actors for the film post April. Ameesha says, "We wanted our first film to be something that we all would be proud of and Paradise Street for sure is something we all are very excited about."

Writer Yunus Sajawal has been working with David Dhawan since many years. Apart from writing for all the films in Rohit Shetty's Golmaal franchise, he has also written Shetty's next, 'Chennai Express'. "Working with Yunus is a pleasure and his ideas are always very different.

He also believes that Davidji's film is very different from the regular comedies that he has been making," says Ameesha. Musician duo, Sajid-Wajid has been roped in to score the music for the film. "When Davidji casually met Sajid-Wajid and narrated them a one-liner, they immediately fell in love with the concept and are very excited to work with us on this project" ends Ameesha.
