MATRU KI BIJLEE KA MAN DOLA - STILLS

It’s almost 5 years since we have seen Anushka Sharma in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ & since then she has done many movies, lots many Characters. One common thing you can notice is she loves to play funky & wacky characters, which is similar to her real life also. The year is about to end & she has pretty tight Routeine as couple of her big banner movies are at the door step of release. Later this Diwali we have YashRaj Films ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ starring Shahrukh Khan & Katrina Kaif & ‘Matru Ki Bijlee ka Mandola’ in early next year.

With the first trailer released few days back, a lots of buzz is already created on the social media cuz of Anushka’s see-through top. She even spots a tattoo on her lower back saying in hindi, ‘Dekho Magar Payar Se…’ She smooch, her bold attitude has already giving the movie enough publicity that we can hope this will be the first big success of 2013.
Anushka says, “I play a strong headed, outspoken girl in the film. My look highlights the bold approach of the character.” The actress however seemed more appreciative of Imran’s look.“I think he looks hot in the film,”In an Press-Conf. Vishal Bhardwaj confessed that the name of the movie ‘Matru Ki Bijlee ka Mandola’ is indeed uncommon & that’s suggested by non other than Javed Akhtar. He also promised to the audience that this will be an out-an-out comedy.

Set in the rustic surroundings of a village in Haryana, Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola is a comedy-drama about Harry Mandola (Pankaj Kapur), a wealthy industrialist who loves his drink, his daughter Bijlee (Anushka Sharma) and the unusual bond they both share with Harry’s man friday, Matru (Imran Khan). Much to her father's delight, Bijlee is all set to marry Baadal (Arya Babbar), the son of a powerful politician Chaudhari Devi (Shabana Azmi).

This alliance which is far from just being a simple union of two young people becomes the seed for a story that brings twists and turns in the lives of Matru, Bijlee and Mandola.
