Trust Akshay Kumar to make his character appear as authentic as possible. On the sets of the film, Rowdy Rathore, the actor was mistaken for a real cop. A crew member reveals, “For a scene, Akshay who was donning the costume of a police officer, had to ride a bike with actor Sonakshi Sinha as a pillion rider. As the shot was being canned, another bike with a couple seated over it, whizzed past in full speed. Since Akshay continued riding the bike as per the shot’s requirement, the stranger couple thought Akshay to be a police officer chasing them. The guy immediately stopped his bike and profusely began apologising, only to discover that it was Akshay Kumar instead.”The film is being directed by Prabhu Deva, and co-produced by Sabina Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

After hand-painting the poster of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Rowdy Rathore, the street painters hired by the filmmakers have now created a portrait of the film’s lead cast Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. According to an insider from the film set, the actors had to spend almost four hours standing still in the same position, so the artists could create the piece flawlessly.“Four painters were hired for the job and they all worked simultaneously and presented four versions, all of which will be unveiled in due course of time,” says the insider. It was reported that the decision to rope in the street painters for the posters of the film, as well as other artwork, was co-producer Bhansali’s. The filmmaker intends on reviving the art form that was rampant in the ’80s, but was phased out with the arrival of the digital age.
